The Delaware Brownfield Conference is set for Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, starting at 9 a.m., at the Chase Center, in Wilmington. The conference will bring together environmental professionals, developers, municipal leaders, policymakers and community stakeholders for a dynamic day of learning, collaboration and inspiration.
The conference is focused on education and real-world outcomes. It highlights how the Delaware Brownfield Development Program is transforming underutilized and contaminated properties into engines of economic growth and community revitalization.

Conference organizers have released a call for presentations for the 2026 Brownfield Conference. Organizers are seeking abstracts for 20-minute oral presentations and/or proposals for poster presentations. Abstracts for oral presentations will be accepted until May 15, 2026. Notification will be provided by June 12, 2026.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into brownfield assessment, remediation, funding opportunities and regulatory processes through expert-led sessions and practical case studies.
The conference will showcase successful redevelopment projects from across Delaware, demonstrating how strategic partnerships and innovative approaches are turning challenges into opportunities.
