The Council on Boiler Safety serves in an advisory capacity to the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) on matters relating to the sale, operation, construction and use of boilers in Delaware.
The Council is established in state law (7 Del. Code § 7404B) to advise the Department on the management of the Boiler Safety Program. It is made up of five members, appointed by the governor, representing a variety of roles related to boilers and pressure vessels, including users, operators, manufacturers, insurers, and engineers.
