US Wind Federal Consistency Certifications



The DNREC Coastal Management Program (DCMP) received two federal consistency certifications (pursuant to 15 CFR 930 subparts D and E) for the proposed US Wind Project proposed off the coast of Maryland with landfall at 3R’s Beach and interconnection on tax parcel 233-2.00-2.01 adjacent to the Indian River Power Plant in Sussex County, Delaware.

The DCMP reviewed the submitted certifications and associated information, provided an extended public comment period and closely coordinated with subject matter experts for the review of this project.

Public Notification Timeline

July 31, 2022

Public notice published regarding receipt of the federal consistency certification for the Construction and Operations Plan. 

April 21, 2024

Public notice published in the News Journal and the Delaware State News regarding the federal consistency Subpart D and E reviews. An additional notification was published in the Cape Gazette. The DCMP provided a 45-day public commenting period in which comments were accepted through June 5, 2024.
