Project Description: Lewis Enterprises Inc AKA ASAP Pumping Service has applied to the Commercial and Government Services Section for a Non-Hazardous Liquid Waste Transporters Permit, which allows for the transport septage, holding tank waste and grease trap waste and/or cooking oil waste to The Town of Laurel and out of state wastewater treatment facilities. The permit is designed to ensure the vehicle/container transporting non-hazardous liquid waste is operated and maintained in compliance with all state and federal regulations in a manner that is protective of public health and the environment. The permittee is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all vehicles operated under the permit.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice, ending at 4:30 p.m. on April 2, 2026. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
