DNREC Calendar: Outdoor Recreation



The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) offers outdoor recreation classes and opportunities for children and adventurous adults at its several nature centers, outdoor education centers, the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve and via several educational programs.

This calendar is presented as a list of upcoming events (below) and as a month-to-month calendar grid. It is part of the DNREC Calendar of Events.

Celebrate Earth Day by getting outside and helping the environment.

Wednesday, April 22, 2026 - A New Kind of Seasickness: Marine Debris

Learn about the issue of marine debris in Delaware, and what’s being done about it.

Place: DuPont Nature Center

Meet at the beach and walk the shoreline with a naturalist.

For one special Saturday this month, the visitor center at St. Jones Reserve is open to the public.
