DNREC State Energy Office

The State Energy Office provides guidance on adopting and implementing smart energy choices through energy conservation and efficiency measures.

DNREC held a series of three public information meetings to give Delawareans an opportunity to learn about strategies incorporated into the latest State Energy Plan update. The meetings took place on Aug. 13, in Georgetown, Aug. 14, in New Castle, and Aug. 15, in Dover.

Visitors were able to review posters highlighting the updates and ask questions of DNREC staff. Those unable to attend the in-person meetings offered feedback through an online survey, available through Friday, Aug. 23, 2024.

Delaware utilities must get an increasing percentage of their electricity from renewable resources.

Renewable Energy Assistance

The Green Energy Program provides rebates for residential and small scale renewable energy systems.

Cool Switch Low Impact Refrigerant Program

The Cool Switch program provides incentives to use refrigerants with lower Global Warming Potential impacts.
