The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances (WHS) will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. to consider comments from the public on the proposed amendments to 7 DE Admin. Code: 1301, “Regulations Governing Solid Waste” (Docket #2025-R-WHS-0016).
The Division of WHS proposed to make revisions that include: General updates to formatting, phrasing, style, and punctuation; Additions, deletions, updates, and relocation of definitions; Realignment of the application submission requirements between activity types; Mirroring of applicable language and clarifications for existing language for Municipal Solid Waste Landfills, Industrial Waste Landfills, Resource Recovery Facilities, and Transfer Stations; Clarification and updates for Solid Waste Transporters, Infectious Waste Facility, Compost Facility, and Recycling Facility requirements.
