New Castle County Department of Special Services has applied to the Commercial and Government Services Section for the renewal of Non-Hazardous Liquid Waste Transporters Permit DE OH-002, which allows for the transport of sludge and other non-hazardous liquid waste, to be disposed of at the Delaware City, Port Penn, Middletown Odessa Townsend, and Wilmington wastewater facilities.
S-J Transportation Co. has applied to the Commercial and Government Services Section for the renewal of Non-Hazardous Liquid Waste Transporters Permit DE OH-605, which allows for the transport of other non-hazardous waste (leachate), to be disposed of at the Kent County wastewater facility.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
