Notice has been given that:
Christiana Excavating Company, requests a permit to construct one (1) Astec FT4250CC Impactor Crusher and an EZYSTAK W6042 Wheeled Stacking Conveyor, both of which will be powered by one (1) associated Caterpillar C13B diesel-fired, Tier 4-certified engine, at their 18802 Swains Private Road facility in Lincoln, Sussex County. The proposed equipment will be held to the relevant Tier 4 emission standards and permitted to emit up to 0.01 tons per year (TPY) of sulfur oxides (SOX) from fuel combustion and a combined 1.62 TPY of total particulate matter, 0.68 TPY of PM10, and 0.14 TPY of PM2.5 from the proposed equipment’s crushing and conveying activities by Permit: APC-2024/0063-CONSTRUCTION.
The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending April 22, 2024. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
