Notice has been given that:
Kraft Heinz Foods Company, requests a temporary permit to construct and operate a 19.9 MMBTU/hr natural gas fired Cleaver Brooks Model CBR-200-500-250ST Boiler at their facility located at 1250 West North St., Dover, Kent County. The boiler will be permitted to emit 0.32 tons per year of PM10, 0.32 tons per year of PM2.5, 0.03 tons per year of SOX, 2.81 tons per year of NOX, 3.54 tons per year of CO and 0.23 tons per year of VOCs by Permit: APC-2024/0068-CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION (Temporary).
Please note that the emissions from this temporary boiler will also be restricted by the facility’s existing Synthetic Minor Permit (Permit: APC-1981/0866-OPERATION) (Amendment 08)(SM)) which limits facility wide emissions to 10.57 tons per year of PM10, 0.21 tons per year of SOX, 22.19 tons per year of NOX, 23.87 tons per year of CO, 19.55 tons per year of VOCs and 0.69 tons per year of HAPs.
The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending April 8, 2024. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
