Notice has been given that:

Maryland Environmental Service, requests an operating permit to operate a mobile 820 HP Tub Grinder and a mobile 765 HP grinder for 150 hours per rolling twelve (12) month period, at their 28,560 Landfill Lane, Georgetown, Sussex County facility. The grinders at all four facilities (DSWA Southern, DSWA Central, DSWA Cherry Island, and Middletown Department of Public Works) will be permitted to emit 0.10 TPY THC, 2.76 TPY NOx, 0.42 TPY SO2, 0.60 TPY CO, and 0.57 TPY PM by Permit# APC-2015/0005-CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION (Amendment 4).

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending November 13, 2023. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
