Funds are available to help municipal governments prepare to apply for loans for public wastewater and drinking water projects.
Project planning advances can be used to develop Preliminary Engineering Reports (PERs) and Environmental Information Documents (EIDs) needed for loan applications under the Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund. Municipalities receiving planning advances are required to submit a revolving fund Notice of Intent once the reports are complete.
Municipalities are eligible to receive up to $75,000 to complete planning reports each year. Municipalities are allowed to submit one application per state fiscal year (July 1 through June 3).
