Project Description: Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. has applied for reissuance of its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit No. DE0051047 (State Number WPCC 3022E/94) to discharge storm water associated with industrial activity to Lednum Branch, a tributary of Haven Lake, which discharges to Silver Lake and ultimately to the Mispillion River from their facility located at 1162 Holly Hill Road in Milford, Kent County, Delaware. The facility manufactures factory assembled cooling towers and heat exchangers. Processes include sheet metal fabrication, coating, machining and assembly. All manufacturing operations occur indoors, and the final products are stored outside. Based on a preliminary staff review and application of lawful standards and regulations, the Department proposes to re-issue this permit, subject to certain effluent limitations and conditions.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 30 days from this notice, ending at 4:30 p.m. on August 14, 2026. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
