Project Description: Cedar Village, LLC has submitted an application for a Construction Permit to modify an existing On-site Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System at the Cedar Village Mobile Home Park Wastewater Treatment Facility. The system treats domestic wastewater from the Cedar Village Mobile Home Park. The treated effluent is disposed of via Spray irrigation onto a 7.61-acre spray irrigation field located on the northwest corner of the Cedar Village Mobile Home Park, 1/4 mile north of County Road 225 and ½ mile east of County Road 38, Sussex County Delaware. The proposed modification would relocate the subsurface discharge of influent from the bottom of Aerated Cell 1 to the surface to allow for monitoring and chemical mixing when needed.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice, ending at 4:30 p.m. on April 2, 2026. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
