Project Description: Sussex County proposes to install approximately eight thousand five hundred and fifty-five linear feet (8,555 LF) of six inch (6”) diameter sanitary sewer force main, two thousand seven hundred and thirty-seven linear feet (2,737 LF) of eight inch (8”) diameter sanitary sewer force main, and two (2) submersible pump stations to serve select subdivisions located on Honolulu Road, Murray Road and Townsends Road, Frankford, DE 19945. The proposed force main will connect to the South Coastal Wastewater Treatment Plant.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice, ending at 4:30 p.m. on January 15,2026. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
