The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Water, Commercial and Government Services Section hereby provides public notice of permit applications submitted by Quarry Walk, LLC and of a virtual public hearing (Docket #2024-P-W-0010) to be held by DNREC regarding those applications and proposed draft permits.

Quarry Walk, LLC has submitted an application for a permit to install a pump station and approximately one thousand seven hundred and thirteen linear feet (1713 LF) of sanitary sewer force main to serve the Quarry Walk residential subdivision, located at 838 Yorklyn Road, Hockessin, Millcreek Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware. The sanitary sewer is gravity fed to the proposed pump station and pumped by force main to the New Castle County sewer in Yorklyn Road. Site Tax Map ID: 08-088.10-135.

Quarry Walk, LLC has also submitted an application for a permit to use twelve 1,500-gallon tanks and related infrastructure to receive and temporarily store wastewater from 25 dwellings in the Quarry Walk subdivision. The holding tank permit will authorize the storage of wastewater until the pump station and force main are constructed. Site Tax Map ID: 08-008.10-117 to 120; 08-008.10-083 to 103.

Virtual Public Hearing

A virtual public hearing on the above matter will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The web link to the hearing can be found at de.gov/dnrechearings. Closed captioning in over 20 languages, including English and Spanish, is available to attendees via the Zoom platform used for all DNREC public hearings.

Those wishing to offer verbal comments during DNREC public hearings must pre-register no later than noon on the day of the hearing at de.gov/dnreccomments or by telephone at 302-739-9001. Please note that, in accordance with DNREC policy, there will be a 3-minute time limit per commenter enforced at the public hearing.
