Project Description: Artesian Wastewater Management, Inc. proposes to modify a sewer pump station including installing two (2) new Flygt Submersible pumps, replacing approximately seventy linear feet (70 LF) of eight (8) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main and related appurtenances to upgrade an existing pump station and section of force main. This project is located on Chandler Street in Milton, Sussex County, Delaware. The lift station is located on Chandler Street and the flow will be redirected from the Milton Wastewater Treatment Plant to the Artesian Sussex Regional Recharge Facility through an existing force main across Wagamons Pond.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
