The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances, will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. to consider comments from the public on the 7 DE Admin. Code 1203 Reporting of a Discharge of a Pollutant or Air Contaminant (Docket # 2024-R-WHS-0021).
The objectives of revising 7 DE Admin Code 1203 involve improving clarity and comprehensiveness for those responsible to report a release or discharge of a pollutant or air contaminant. The table identifying reportable quantities published under this regulation is static and has not been updated since 2004 and may not reflect changes made at the federal level. Departmental review of Delaware specific chemicals and their reportable quantities is appropriate to account for any regulatory or programmatic changes within the Department.
