The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up Operable Unit 5 (OU-5) of the Eden Hill Farm Site (DE-1714) located in Dover. OU-5 denotes the soil on a 9.88-acre portion of the approximately 75-acre Site. Between 1937 and 2019, the entire Site was used as farmland.
To eliminate elevated concentrations identified in two select areas within OU-5 reportedly due to pesticide use during past farm operations, shallow soils were excavated; therefore, OU-5 of the Eden Hill Farm Site is not subject to any additional remedial actions.
Details of the Proposed Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
The comment period ends on June 25, 2024. For additional information, please contact Lindsay Hall, Project Manager, at (302) 395-2600 or via email at RS_Public_Comments@delaware.gov.
