The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Bayhealth W. Water St. & S. Governors Ave. Site located in Dover. The Site is currently developed with a commercial building and a 2-story residence. The Site requires the following remedial actions: the excavation and disposal of an area of arsenic impacted soil, the development of a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP), the recording of an Environmental Covenant restricting groundwater withdrawal, requiring a vapor assessment prior to any building construction, and compliance with the CMMP.
DNREC issued a public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Bayhealth W. Water St. & S. Governors Ave. Site on April 28, 2024. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: den.dnrec.delaware.gov
