Non-Discrimination Policy

Pursuant to the Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), 7 Del. C. Chapter 91, §9126, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) is required to issue a public notice within twenty days after entering into negotiations for a Certified Brownfields Development Agreement (BDA). A BDA is an agreement between DNREC and a Certified Brownfields Developer with respect to a Certified Brownfield Site that sets forth a scope of work and schedule of remedial activities during the development of the Site.

DNREC’s Remediation Section (DNREC-RS) is negotiating a BDA with Christiana Culture Arts Center Inc. regarding the Orange Street Parking Lot (Site), located at 711 N Orange Street, 708-706 N Tatnall Street, and 215-219 W 7th Street, Wilmington, Delaware. Identified by New Castle County as tax parcel numbers 26-035.10-513, 26-035.10-503, 26-035.10-504, 26-035.30-253, 26-035.10-512, and 26-035.10-511 the Site may have had a release of hazardous substances as a result of historical activities on site.
