Blaine Hitchens has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well with a capacity of 800 gpm. The requested allocation is 1.15 MGD, 34.5 MG per month, and 69.0 MG per year. The well will be located 2.2 miles South of Pepper in Sussex County, on Whaley’s Road. Tax parcel 3-32-06.00-0004.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by June 08, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
