Water Allocation Permit Applications

C.E. Lynch & Sons, Inc. has requested a modification of its irrigation water allocation for two existing irrigation wells and one proposed irrigation well. The requested allocation is 1.09 million gallons (MG) per day, 17.49 MG per month, and 72.13 MG per year. The wells are located northwest of Milford in Kent County, near the intersection of Deer Valley and Canterbury Roads. Tax parcel MD-00-161.00-01-29.00.

Beth R. McIlvaine McCarty has requested an allocation permit for one proposed irrigation well. The requested allocation is 0.51 million gallons (MG) per day, 8.15 MG per month, and 33.60 MG per year. The well will be located southwest of Lewes in Sussex County, near the intersection of Hollymount and Indian Mission Roads. Tax parcel 234-10.00-101.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by March 1, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
