The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Air Quality (DNREC-DAQ) will hold virtual public workshops to present a proposal to revise Natural Minor (Reg. 1102) Permitting Fees.
Two virtual public workshops will be held. The first workshop will be held on March 9, 2021, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and the second one, which will be a repeat of the first workshop, will be held on March 11, 2021, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required. Time will be allotted for questions after the presentation.
For full video and audio access and to pre-register, please visit de.gov/airquality and click on the blue box for Natural Minor Permit Fee Initiative. If prompted for a password when joining the workshop, please use airquality.
To access the audio-only portion of the virtual workshop, dial 1-408-418-9388 and enter event number 129 439 4823 (for March 9) or event number 129 895 2506 (for March 11).
Background: The current fees for the Natural Minor (Reg. 1102) permitting program, established in 1991, have not been adjusted in 30 years and generate only 25% of program costs. The proposal includes fee restructuring, consolidation, simplification and phased implementation. More detailed information on the proposal can be found on the Department’s website listed above.
Questions and comments may be submitted via e-mail to daqpermitting@delaware.gov or in writing via USPS to the Division of Air Quality, 100 W. Water Street, Suite 6A, Dover, DE 19904. The Department will accept written comments through the close of business, Friday, March 19, 2021.
