The Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), 7 Del. C. § 9107 (a)(1), requires the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) to provide “public notification within 20 days after entering into negotiations for a voluntary cleanup settlement agreement with any person that agrees to perform a remedy.”
As required by § 9107(a)(1), DNREC advises that it is negotiating a Prospective Purchaser Agreement (PPA) with Schiff Land Development Company, LLC regarding the Berkshire Property Site (DE-1772) located at 3609 South State Street, Magnolia, DE. The Site is identified as portions of Kent County tax parcel number 7-00-10400-01-7500-0001. The Site requires remedial action due to historic activities on site. For Site-specific information, please see DNREC’s Environmental Navigator at www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3.
