Notice is hereby given by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control that Magnus Environmental Corporation (Magnus) has applied for a modification to Resource Recovery Facility Permit #SW-21/02 (Permit), issued to Magnus’ to operate a resource recovery facility located at 220 Marsh Lane in New Castle. Magnus requests to modify section II.D.1. of the Permit to reflect an increase in the quantity of wastes permitted on-site from the current limit, 40 tons, to a new limit of 80 tons.

A public hearing on the above permit modification will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a meritorious request for such a hearing within fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice, ending May 9, 2022. A request for a hearing shall be in writing and shall state the nature of the issues to be raised at the hearing. It must also show a familiarity with the modification request, be directly related to section II.D.1. of the Permit, and include a reasoned statement explaining the probable impact of the permit modification.
