The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the General Motors Corp. Wilmington Assembly Plant Operable Unit 4 (OU-4) Site located in Wilmington. DNREC held a Public Hearing on April 9, 2020 to hear comments on the Proposed Plan of Remedial Action (Proposed Plan). The Secretary’s Order upholding the Proposed Plan was issued on June 15, 2020. The Site, which formerly contained the Anchor Motor Freight Building, required an Environmental Covenant restricting the Site to non-residential use only and restricting groundwater use at the Site; developing and following a Long-Term Stewardship Plan; and developing and implementing a Contaminated Materials Management Plan.
Details of the Final Plan are available online at: www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
