Application

Notice has been given that:

Qnity Electronics, Inc., DuPont Electronic Materials CMP, LLC requests a temporary permit to construct and operate a 20.976 MMBTU/hr natural gas fired boiler at their 451 Bellevue Road, Newark, New Castle County facility. The temporary boiler will be permitted to emit 1.58 tons per year of NOX, 1.71 tons per year of CO, 0.03 tons per year of SOX, 0.16 tons per year of NMHC, and 0.34 tons per year of PM10/PM2.5 by Permit: APC-2027/0063-CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION (Temporary).

Please note that emissions from this temporary boiler do not represent an increase in overall site emissions as the currently permitted boiler will not be operational when the temporary boiler is operating.

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices. To submit comments, for additional information or for information regarding how you can inspect the application, please contact Mia White at (302) 739 9402 or mia.white@delaware.gov.

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending October 22, 2026. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
