Notice has been given that:

Preston of Wilmington requests an Auto Body Permit to construct or operate an Auto Body Shop that conducts any or all of the following: collision repair, vehicle painting, paint stripping or sanding, body work, antique restoration, and student training in any of these areas at their 4800 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, New Castle County facility. The Auto Body Shop will be permitted to emit less than a combined total of 25 tons per year of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and less than a combined total of 25 tons per year of heavy metal Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) by Permit# APC-2027/0004-C/O.

A public hearing on the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding the application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending October 15, 2026. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
