Notice has been given that:

The Delaware Office of Management and Budget requests on behalf of the Delaware Department of Correction, permission for the installation of two (2) natural gas-fired emergency generators, each rated 500 kW (764 HP) at Sussex Correctional Institution, 23203 DuPont Boulevard, Georgetown, Sussex County, Delaware. The engines used in these generator sets comply with U. S. EPA regulations under the provisions of 40 CFR Part 60 Subpart JJJJ emissions limits. Permit: APC-2026/0098-CONSTRUCTION (NSPS) (GACT), and Permit: APC-2026/0100-CONSTRUCTION (NSPS) (GACT).

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at: de.gov/dnrecnotices. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending January 29, 2026. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
