Notice has been given that:

Mountaire Farms, Inc. requests permission for the temporary operation of one (1) generator, rated 2000 kW (2628 HP) at 29005 John J Williams Highway, Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. This generator will be used during the construction of three permitted emergency generators at Wastewater Treatment as they are tied into the grid. The generator will be limited to 128 hours of operation and emit 0.037 TPY HC, 2.41 TPY NOx, 0.26 TPY CO, 0.056 TPY PT, and 0.002 TPY SO₂. Permit # APC-2026/0112-CONSTRUCTION (Temporary)

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending December 25, 2025. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
