Notice has been given that:

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center requests permission for the construction and operation of one (1) emergency generator, rated 1000 kW (1340 HP) at 1601 Kirkwood Highway, New Castle County, Delaware.  The engine used in this generator set complies with U. S. EPA regulations under the provisions of EPA Tier 4 emissions limits. Permit: APC-2025/0095-Construction.

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request.  The application is posted at: de.gov/dnrecnotices. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending October 30, 2025.  A request for a hearing shall be in writing.  The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
