Notice has been given that:

The Department of Services for Children, Youth & Their Families requests permission for the operation of one (1) emergency generator, rated 1,000 kW (1,839 HP) at the Ferris School for Boys located at 959 Centre Road, Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. The engine used in this generator set complies with U. S. EPA regulations under the provisions of Title 40 CFR Part 1039, Non-Road Tier 2 emissions limits. Permit# APC-2025/0034-CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION (NSPS).

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at: de.gov/dnrecnotices. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending August 18, 2025. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
