Notice has been given that:

Mountaire Farms of Delaware, Inc., requests a Natural Minor permit to construct one (1) Grain Receiving Pit, one (1) CAMCORP, Inc. Model 12HVP112 Baghouse, and one (1) Grain Receiving Leg at their facility located at 402 Main Street, Townsend, New Castle County. The grain receiving pit, baghouse, and grain receiving leg will be permitted to emit 24.8 pounds per year of PM₁₀ and 4.2 pounds per year of PM_2.5 by Permit: APC-2025/0059-CONSTRUCTION. This equipment will replace existing equipment at the facility, resulting in an overall facility wide emissions decrease.

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices. To submit comments, for additional information or for information regarding how you can inspect the application, please contact Jennifer Childears at (302) 739‑9402 or jennifer.childears@delaware.gov. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending February 24, 2025. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
