Notice has been given that:

Mountaire Farms of Delaware, Inc., requests a construction permit to replace the existing Receiving Pit 1, Emission Unit 9 with a new receiving pit, at their 29106 John J Williams Hwy., Millsboro, Sussex County facility. Emissions will not change due to this construction and are limited to 0.005 tons per year of PM₁₀ by Permit# APC-1987/0020-CONSTRUCTION (Amendment 5).

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at de.gov/dnrecnotices. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending November 4, 2024. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
