Notice has been given that:

Mountaire Farms, Inc., requests an (operating) permit to construct or operate hopper bottom trucks in addition to railcars at Rail Pit 2 at their 11 Daisy Street, Frankford, Sussex County facility. The Rail Pit 2 will be permitted to emit 9.5 TPY PM10 by Permit# APC-2001/0286-OPERATION (Amendment 5).

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending April 24, 2023. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
