Notice has been given that:

The Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA), requests a construction permit (APC-2021/0079-CONSTRUCTION) to expand the existing landfill gas management system at the Cherry Island Landfill located at 1706 East 12th Street, in Wilmington, Delaware. The expansion of the existing landfill gas management system will provide continuous landfill gas collection from all portions of the landfill and transmit the landfill gas to the gas plant or flares at the site throughout the life of the landfill.

The application for this permit may be reviewed at the offices of the Division of Air Quality, State Street Commons, 100 W. Water Street, Suite 6A, Dover, Delaware or 715 Grantham Lane, New Castle, Delaware. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending March 29, 2021. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
