Notice has been given that:

Comcast of New Castle, LLC (Comcast) requests a construction permit to install a Caterpillar Model C18 600kW diesel emergency generator set with a 900 HP Cat C18 ACERT In-Line 6, 4-cycle diesel engine Model 2023 at 2215 N. Dupont Highway, New Castle, Delaware. The emergency generator will operate only during emergencies and for the purpose of maintenance checks and readiness testing. The engine used in this generator set complies with U. S. EPA regulations and Tier 2 emission limits under the provisions of Title 40 CFR Part 1039, Appendix I Table 2 Non-road by Permit# APC-2023/0057-CONSTRUCTION (NSPS).

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending Monday, June 19, 2023. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
