Notice has been given that:

University of Delaware – Central Utility Plant requests permission for the operation of one (1) Caterpillar C18 Diesel-Fired emergency generator, rated 750 kW (1006 HP) at 222 South Chapel Street, Newark, Delaware 19716. The engine used in this generator set complies with U. S. EPA regulations under the provisions of 40 CFR Part 60, Tier 2 emissions limits. Permit: APC-2026/0118-CONSTRUCTION

The application for this permit may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at: de.gov/dnrecnotices. A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending May 21, 2026. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
