Project Description: Hometown Angola Beach, LLC has submitted a renewal application for an Operating Permit for an On-site Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System for the Angola Beach & Estates Wastewater Treatment Facility. The system treats domestic wastewater from the Angola Beach and Angola Estates developments. The treated effluent is disposed of via Spray irrigation onto a 14.17-acre spray field located on Suburban Drive adjacent to the office and clubhouse in the Angola Estates development, Sussex County, Delaware. The system is designed for the connection of 700 units, 91,000 gallons per day (gpd) treatment, and 111,160 gpd disposal. The existing permit authorizes 625 units to be connected. The Permittee has also requested 19 additional units to be connected in accordance with the existing permit.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice, ending at 4:30 p.m. on April 2, 2026. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
