Notice has been given that:
Mountaire Farms of Delaware, Inc. requests permission for an amendment to increase meat production in the Resource Recovery process, from 4,200 tons/week to 5,000 tons/week. The facility is located at 29093 John J Williams Hwy, Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. Total throughput will increase from 310,128 TPY to 351,728 TPY in the Resource Recovery Process. Permitted emissions will be 14.08 TPY NOx, 11.7 TPY CO, 49.4 TPY SO2, 0.733 TPY VOC, 19.4 NH3, 1.54 TPY PT, and 0.005 TPY H2S by Permit: APC-2011/0080-OPERATION (Amendment 7), Permit: 2011/0081-OPERATION (Amendment 7), Permit: 2011/0082-OPERATION (Amendment 8), Permit: 2011/0083-OPERATION (Amendment 8), Permit: 2011/0084-OPERATION (Amendment 8), and Permit: 2011/0085-OPERATION (Amendment 8).

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending October 23, 2025. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
