Notice has been given that:
Mountaire Farms, Inc. requests permission for the construction and operation of three (3) emergency generators, each rated 1250 kW (1865 HP) at Millsboro Wastewater Facility, 29005 John J Williams Hwy, Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. The engines used in these generator sets complies with U. S. EPA regulations under the provisions of 40 CFR 89, Non-Road Tier 2 emissions limits. Permit: APC-2025/0082-CONSTRUCTION (NSPS)(GACT), Permit: APC-2025/0083-CONSTRUCTION (NSPS) (GACT), and Permit: APC-2025/0084-CONSTRUCTION (NSPS)(GACT).
The application for these permits may be reviewed upon request. The application is posted at: de.gov/dnrecnotices. To submit comments, for additional information, or for information regarding how you can inspect the application, please contact Jennifer Childears at (302) 739‑9402 or jennifer.childears@delaware.gov.
A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending July 28, 2025. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
