Project Description: Mt. Cuba Center has submitted an application for an Operating Permit for an On-site Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System for the Mt. Cuba Center. The system has been designed to accommodate 3,770 gallons per day of domestic wastewater generated by an education center, green house and main house. The system consists of 6 septic tanks, one advanced treatment system, a dosing station and 20 pressure dosed trenches for disposal.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
