Notice has been given that:
The Delaware Solid Waste Authority, Southern Solid Waste Management Center, requests a construction permit to expand the existing landfill gas collection and removal system located at their 28560 Landfill Lane, Georgetown, Sussex County facility. The permit will allow the continued expansion of the existing landfill gas collection and removal system permitted to operate under Title V Permit: AQM-005/00099-Renewal (03), by providing continuous landfill gas collection from all portions of the landfill and transmitting the landfill gas to the gas plant or flares at the site under Permit: APC-2024/0088-CONSTRUCTION. Total combined permitted emissions from the gas plant and flares will remain unchanged at 47.8 TPY of Nitrogen Oxides (NOX), 42.3 TPY of Non-methane Organic Compounds (NMOCs), 14.2 TPY of Particulate Matter (PM), 113.1 TPY of Sulfur Oxides (SOX), 57.5 TPY of Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs), and 310.8 TPY of Carbon Monoxide (CO), and are included in Permit: AQM-005/00099-Renewal 3.

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending June 10, 2024. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
