Permit Application

Notice has been given that:

Sea Watch International, Ltd., requests a permit to switch from No. 5 fuel oil/natural gas to No. 2 fuel oil/natural gas for its two (2) 25.0 MMBTU/hr boilers and one (1) 25.1 MMBTU/hr boiler, and to be reclassified as a Natural Minor source at their 242 S. Rehoboth Boulevard, Milford, Sussex County facility. The boilers will be permitted to emit: 36.26 TPY of NOx; 20.71 TPY of CO; 0.48 TPY of SOx; 6.17 TPY of PM10; and 1.35 TPY of VOC by Permit# (APC-2023/0028-OPERATION (GACT)-Boiler No. 1; APC-2023/0029-OPERATION (NSPS) (GACT) (PTE)-Boiler No. 2; APC-2023/0030-OPERATION (NSPS) (GACT)-Boiler No. 3).

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending November 14, 2022. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
