Project Description: Lewes Board of Public Works proposes to install approximately one thousand one hundred and sixty-seven linear feet (1,167 LF) of one and a half inch (1.5”) diameter sanitary sewer force main, and three (3) semi-positive Displacement pumps to serve as a new wastewater conveyance system for existing single family dwellings located on Hoornkill Avenue, Lewes, DE 19958. The proposed force main will connect to Howard H Seymour Water Reclamation Plant.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice, ending at 4:30 p.m. on January 29, 2026. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
