Project Description: Delaware Electric Cooperative proposes to install a pump station, approximately three thousand nine hundred and twenty feet (3920 ft) of two (2) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main, one thousand one hundred and sixty feet (1160 ft) of eight (8) inch diameter gravity sewer main, three hundred and forty feet (340 ft) of six (6) inch diameter gravity sewer main, and 10 manholes to serve 37.5 EDUs at Delaware Electric Cooperative. This project is located at 14198 Sussex Highway, Greenwood, Delaware, at the intersections of Sussex Highway Route 13, Adams Road RD 583, and Cart Branch Road RD 583A, approximately one mile south of Greenwood. The new pump station and force main will pump wastewater to the Sussex County owned regional sewer force main located at Adams Road and Mile Stretch Road. The pump station and force main will be maintained by Sussex County.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 14 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
