Project Description: Azalea Woods LLC proposes to install a pump station, approximately two thousand three hundred and ninety-seven feet (2397 ft) of eight and ten (8 & 10) inch diameter gravity sanitary sewer, three thousand six hundred and eighty-five feet (3685 ft) of eight (8) inch diameter sanitary gravity sewer, two thousand three hundred and forty-three feet (2343 ft) of four (4) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main to serve 60 single family lots. The pump station will also connect gravity sewer from future phases. The pump station will discharge via a 6” force main which will tie into an existing Artesian force main located in Phase 2 of the subdivision. The gravity and force main system will be owned and maintained by Artesian Wastewater.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 14 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
