Project Description: Town of Millsboro proposes to install a new duplex submersible pumping station to replace existing pumping station, approximately one hundred (100) feet of ten (10) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main via trenching and approximately nine hundred (900) feet of twelve (12) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main via directional drill. The existing pump station is located within approximately twenty-five (25) feet of Iron Branch within the 100-year flood plain and is subject to flooding. The proposed pump station will be located at higher elevation, above the 100-year flood plain. The proposed new pumping station will be sized for a peak flow of 2,000 gallons per day to accommodate current and future growth in Millsboro’s southern service area.
