Pursuant to the Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), 7 Del. C. § 9107 (a)(1), requires the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) to provide “public notification within 20 days after entering into negotiations for a voluntary cleanup settlement agreement with any person that agrees to perform a remedy.”
DNREC’s Remediation Section (DNREC-RS) is negotiating a VCP Agreement with Alphatex LLC. for the James Thompson & Company Inc (site), located at 301 South Church Street, Greenwood, Delaware. Identified by Sussex County as tax parcel number 539-9.00-71.00, the Site may have had a release of hazardous substances because of historical activities on site.
